Still Wild

Still Wild explores the fragile boundary between permanence and transformation.

A butterfly rests upon a fragment of wood, suspended within a transparent body. What once belonged to a living landscape is removed from time, yet remains visually untouched by it.

The wood carries the marks of growth, age, and imperfection. The butterfly represents the opposite: delicacy, movement, and a life defined by transformation. Encapsulated together, both become still.

Light passes through the sculpture, revealing textures, shadows, and reflections that shift with every point of view. The transparent material does not hide nature—it isolates it, allowing a single moment to exist beyond its natural lifespan.

Still Wild is not an attempt to recreate nature, but to preserve the feeling of encountering it.

A moment that should have disappeared, made permanent.
