Between Light and Shadow
Beauty does not always ask to be seen.
Between Light and Shadow captures a butterfly resting quietly against a fragment of wood, suspended between transparency and darkness.
Unlike the brilliance we often associate with nature, this butterfly reveals its beauty through restraint. Its deep, muted wings emerge from the shadows of the wood, becoming visible only when light passes through them.
The sculpture explores the idea that beauty is not always found in what immediately demands our attention. Sometimes it exists quietly — in texture, in imperfection, in darkness, and in the smallest details we choose to notice.
Encapsulated in transparency, the butterfly and the wood become separated from time, yet the light surrounding them continues to change.
The closer you look, the more nature reveals.
